Rain Update: There was some rain early in the morning but it is DRYING up. Let us hope that the rain STAYS AWAY!!

Virat Kohli's men face yet another MUST-WIN clash against Sri Lanka today. An Indian win without a BONUS POINT would see a three-way tie with India, Sri Lanka and West Indies on nine points but that should still be enough to earn the world champions a place in the FINALS.

According to statisticians, all India need to do is to WIN BY ONE RUN off the last ball. In such a scenario, India and Sri Lanka will qualify for the final on the basis of NET RUN-RATE.

A WASH-OUT will obviously see India out of the tournament, leaving the hosts to battle with the Lankans for the Cup.

On the other hand, West Indies would obviously want Sri Lanka to win today as it would seal the finals berth for the hosts. But, a HUGE DEFEAT(by 210 runs) at the hands of India would ensure the ELIMINATION of Angelo Mathews' men ahead of THURSDAY'S FINAL.

Players to watch out for today:

Shikhar Dhawan: The 27-year-old southpaw from Delhi has been busy hitting the best of the bowlers to all parts of the ground recently. The left-hander has been blazing amongst runs following the Champions Trophy with 363 runs in 5 matches for Team India. His ability to take control of the innings at the top-order gives India an edge in the tri-nation ODI series.

Lasith Malinga: One of the most effective fast bowlers in modern-day cricket, the 29-year-old packs a punch in Sri Lanka's bowling department. He is the first and only bowler in the world to have two World Cup hat-tricks, the first and only bowler to have taken three hat-tricks in ODIs and he is also the first, and currently the only, player to have taken four wickets in four consecutive balls in any form of international cricket. His ability to bowl yorkers and slower bowls at the death overs makes him a lethal weapon for the Lankans.

Virat Kohli: The 24-year-old right-hander was busy tearing the opposition's bowling attack throughout the IPL and carried on with the job in Champions Trophy for India. The right-handed dynamo was placed fifth in the top run-scorer's list with 176 runs in 5 matches in the recently concluded Champions Trophy. His blistering knock of 183 off 148 balls against Pakistan in the fifth match of Asia Cup 2012, recorded the joint-fourth highest score by an Indian in ODIs.

Sachithra Senanayake: Fairly new to the international circuit, the 28-year-old off-spinner has proved his mettle to rumble with the big boys. The right-arm spinner was the highest wicket-taker with 16 wickets in six matches during the 2011-12 Sri Lanka Premier League tournament. He is also touted to possess one of the best doosras in Sri Lanka. His exemplary performance in the recent IPL season for Kolkata Knight Riders also earned him international recognition.

Ravindra Jadeja: The 24-year-old all-rounder has become one of India's brightest players in the past one year. His ability to score vital runs at the death overs alongside his devious left-arm spin makes him one of the must have players in your team. He was recently awarded the Golden Ball for his 12 wickets - most by a bowler - in 5 matches during the recently concluded Champions Trophy.

Thisara Perera: The 24-year-old Lankan is one of the best all-rounders on the international circuit today. His ability to keep wickets intact and play the big shots whenever required will strengthen Sri Lanka's middle-order in the tournament. Apart from being a ferocious batsman, Perera is more than handy with his right-arm seamers. With 75 ODI wickets in 56 games, he is one of the wicket-taking bowlers for Sri Lanka.

Suresh Raina: One of the most prolific batsmen in the ODIs for India, he comes to the party more often than not. The 26-year-old left-hander scored 548 runs in 18 matches for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL this year. Though he failed to make an impact with the bat in the Champions Trophy recently, Raina will be eager to make the most of the tri-nation ODI series for India. Not only is he capable of clearing the boundaries when required, his off-spin is also very handy.
