In an effort to meet the needs of small and large communities we have established clinics throughout the state. Our dedication to total eye care includes a complete range of services extending from providing your eyeglass prescription to screening for glaucoma, cataract and retinal surgery, performing facial reconstructive and refractive surgery.

Southwestern Eye Center is currently looking for a?full time Certified Ophthalmic Assistant for our office in Mesa. In this fast paced environment, the Certified Ophthalmic Assistant assists the physician in gathering pertinent data and recording in the patient's medical record. With varying levels of expertise, the Ophthalmic Assistant may assist with special testing or ophthalmic photography.

The ability to communicate both orally and written in Spanish is preferred.

Skills / Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

  • have high school diploma or GED
  • current experience working up patients in an ophthalmology office
  • current JCAHPO COA/COT certification
  • have excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • have dedication to patient care
  • be a team player
  • bilingual in Spanish is preferred
