Max is a very handsome, sleek, jet black boy. He is pretty cautious of people and is pretty shy, but enjoys being petted once he trusts you. He startles easily, which is probably due to mistreatment from people before he was abanonded on the street in the cold of winter a couple of years ago. He needs a home where he will get lots of one on one time, companionship of other, docile cats, and that will be patient and gentle with him. He gets along great with every cat that has passed through the room he lives in (including many that don't really care for other cats) and really requires the companionship of other docile cats. He is so relaxed with other animals, he might do well with calm, cat-friendly dogs. He would do best in a home without young children that is calm without too much stress.
